Eartha Kitt at Jazz Alley in Seattle

For many years now, I’m living a far too isolated life in the Seattle area. Since I’m not working for a company, my social contacts are very limited. In addition, I’m not only single and without any family in this area, I’ve not met anyone with whom I could imagine wanting to be in a close relationship. Though I love to go out, attending concerts and other artistic performances, I stopped doing that after a while. But last Saturday afternoon, out of the spur of the moment, I visited the web site from Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley in Seattle.

When I read that Eartha Kitt, who is 80 years old, would perform that evening, I had to buy me a ticket. I’ve heard her name quite often, though I wasn’t familiar with her performances. And it was quite an enlightening evening. I think she is an inspiration to all the people who think age is no barrier and more than a frail vessel.

When Eartha left the stage, she walked by me and for a short moment she paused right next to me. I was so stunned so that I was speechless; I couldn’t say a ton at that moment. I wish I could have said to her that she is an inspiration. The whole purpose of me attending her performance had been to pay tribute to her that evening.

The next day I read her biography. To my surprise I read that her professional carrier took a setback in the United States, after she had expressed her political opinion about the Vietnam War. She was blacklisted for about 10 years in the U.S. While professionally exiled from the U.S., she performed overseas. At the end her persistence, resilience, and outstanding performances paid off, she made her professional comeback in the U.S. with a Broadway musical in 1978.

Invisible fence

A couple years ago I saw a car parked, with the words “Invisible Fence” painted on it, on a parking lot at an Antique Mall, which I visited quite often. You all have heard the words “glass ceiling”. It is an invisible but unmistakable barrier; not only on the career ladder of a woman, but also of another member of a demographic minority within an organization.

Due to my experiences here in the Bellevue, Redmond, and Seattle area, I’m experiencing another kind of barrier, or let’s call it discriminatory boundary. I know I’m entitled to the claims described under Crest Night Effects. As of today, I have written more than 40 attorneys in this area and informed them of my two claims that call for taking legal action. But nobody showed serious interest in helping me in this matter. Some replied, while the majority kept silent. A few attorneys actually gave me either odd and/or incompetent counsel.

I believe that some of my experiences were not only purposefully orchestrated, but also meant with the intent to mislead. Read the articles about the Lake Washington Technical College. My experiences there had been purposefully manipulated, too. And these aren’t the only places, where I experienced purposefully planned manipulation and deception.

A body double

It’s said that we all have a body double. A couple years ago I saw the body double of Leah Remini who plays the main role in King of Queens. I met her at the Longs drug store in Bellevue on 156th St. This woman not only looked like Leah but she also acted and spoke like her. I was stunned when I saw her. The apparent resemblance was enormous. Leah’s look-alike worked as a cashier at the drug store. We briefly exchanged some words and I said to her that she could work as Leah’s stuntwoman.

While living here I’m constantly mistaken for someone else. In a way we all have a double, but we just aren’t aware of it.

The first time that I became aware of being mistaken for someone else was in Portland, Oregon in 1995. While I visited an antique fair at the Portland Expo show an antique dealer at the show mistook me for someone else who had previously looked at her antiques. I personally didn’t see the person who supposed to be my look-alike.

The next time I was mistaken for someone else was at the ProClub where I worked out for a few years. An employee told me that someone who looks just like me works out there, too, but early in the morning. Since I never came in early, I always worked out in the afternoon or in the evening, I never saw this person. Without looking at my notes now that must have been in 2000/2001.

The next time I actually saw a person who resembled me a little bit. In 2005 I attended the PNWA writer’s conference at SeaTac and towards the end of the conference I noticed a woman who had the same hairstyle and color like me, her facial features were similar, but she was bigger than me and her body type was stocky. I just thought when I saw her that she could be mistaken for me from a distance.

Yesterday, 2nd April 2005, an employee at my bank asked me whether I have a sister living in Magnolia. So here again, someone mistook me for someone else or her sister. It couldn’t have been myself who she saw because I don’t live in Magnolia and I don’t walk around in this neighborhood.

It seems like my body double lives here in this area, and I’m not only curious to find out more information about her, but I also would like to meet her.

Non-verbal signs

Before I continue describing the events that took place while contacting lawyers and dentists to support me in my product liability case, I like to mention an event at the 24Hour Fitness Club in Bellevue. I not only consider this encounter strange but also part of a staged manipulation with the intent to deceive and defraud. This encounter happened before I met with lawyer K.

On Monday 6th September I went to the Fitness club of which I had been a member for a few years. I visited this club on a regular basis and on specific days, which was known to many who knew me.

At the club is an area that is designated for working out for 30 minutes on a few selected machines. While I worked out there a couple in their forties showed up who I had never seen before at this place. They actually looked pretty shabby and somehow not belonging here. The guy was extremely fat and had a huge spongy belly. The woman had dark curly hair with some gray streaks. Her looks were boyish and she was much smaller than her accomplice. Their garments looked old and worn out and both wore sandals. The fat guy’s belly was robed with a belt that had the words “mutual travel” on it. They looked like they really didn’t belong here.

However, they not only stood out because of their looks and clothes but also of how they proceeded with their workout. I noticed that the guy pulled only 55 pounds down and that was due to his own thundering body weight ridiculous. But as I mentioned before, these people were part of a planned act. I decided to say something to him when he pulled down the 55 pounds across from me. Thus I said, “You can do more than that.” And he replied, “Oh, I don’t want to hurt myself.” Whereas I just thought ‘baloney.’ These people showed up to make a show and to display unspoken signs. I even approached the woman. And she told me that she likes to go to the playground and hang on the monkey bars. Thereafter I asked her whether she had kids. And she replied “3 from 15 to 11.”

I believe that these people showed up to suggest something with unspoken signs. In fact, this method is used incessantly here. People just don’t say a thing, they only display non-verbal signs.
